I've been a fan since the 
beginning, even though I was only 6 at the time. Always a Mike fan 
too.Favorite Monkee episode:Monkee vs. Machine, where Mike really socks it 
to a computer.Favorite song: anything Mike sings plus Mary, Mary and 
Pleasant Valley Sunday. But really I love them all. I was lucky enough to 
get to go to the Justus media blitz in Hollywood, and even luckier to get 
to meet Mike (sigh!), Peter, and David after the show.What a couple of 
sweethearts! They were always kind and patient and eager to talk to the 
fans. If you haven't gotten the new book,'Hey Hey We're the Monkees', get 
it! It is one of the best I've read so far. Just wait til you read about 
Mike's encounter with the Mexican Police! Those of you that are Mike fans 
need to look into 'Dedicated Friends'.It's Mike's official fan club. Donna 
Bailey is the Prez. Always looking for Mike fans to talk to...

I've been a Monkees fan since 
1966.  I saw them in concert back in 1986 at Great America in Santa Clara, 
Ca.  Also, I had the pleasure of meeting Micky backstage at the Merced 
County Fair, California back in '92 along with Bobby "Boris" 
Pickett.  A super, down to earth guy.  Sorry that we missed their 30th 
tour.  But we've got "Justus" to listen to.

When I was growing up, I just thought the Monkees were just a bunch of 
snot nosed Beatles wanabees, but... many, many years and drugs later I 
found out the truth; HEAD kicked ass! I don't know the title of the song(i 
think its called WAR), but that scene where they do that song in the middle 
of the Beatle-esque arena of screaming girls is one of my favorites of all 
time.I think the chorus is "...well it looks like we made it once 
again." Man, I'd kill for that sheet music!

I look forward to the next 
monkees-only album with great anticipation. When I hear the JustUs album, I 
hear 4 people with different styles coming together simply to make music. I 
hear heart and integrity in those songs. Here's to another classic! 
(Whenever that time comes!)

Peter Tork is the GOD of all Monkees.

The Monkees new cd is marginal, but I am a music director for 
a radio station and we are getting a good response on "Never 
Enough".  The station is "LIVE 95" in Centralia 
Washington.

Always liked them would leave Disneyland to 
get home in time for the TV show. Fav. Monkee=Micky.  Too Funny, but I like 
them all.  Love the song Circle Sky!  Great work!  Also love Randy Scouse 
Git.  Great original!  Never meet the Monkees, but would Like to someday.  
Any suggestions?  Have all their original albums, posters, CD's, movie, 
T.V.shows etc.  Always looking for more stuff.  Hope to Meet the Monkees 
someday.  Maybe in Vegas at the Tropicana!?!?

Yea Brad.   Thanks for the e-mail on the 
fix.     Now for my Monkees tale. When I was a kid back in the mid 70's, me 
and three of my friends pretended that we were the guys.  Lip-synched to 
the records, made up our own adventures, etc.   It was a blast.   BTW, I 
got to be Nez since I was the natural leader, and the only one who had a 
wool hat. Switched over to ties when Nez did even. Sounds weird, but hey we 
were just kids.  It was fun.  

Love the album guys.  No complaints here, just glad you did it.

Was watching reruns on tv here this 
month. First saw Monkees on tv late '60's and converted many people into 
fans. My son grew up on Monkees music. Would really like the guys to visit 
"Down Under". 

Dear all of Fans!! I'm happy to come to join you all!! I've been crazy 
about The Monkees since 1980 when there was BIG revival boom in Japan. ( I 
was a junior high student then.) I love DAVY!!

I've got the newest CD "JUSTUS" at last! I like "It's not 
too late" the best. I'm very impressed by their harmony, because I can 
hear not only Davy's voice but also Micky's, Peter's and Mike's at the same 
time!!!

Hello everyone!  It's been a long time since I've made contact with
other Monkee fans.  Back in the mid-80's, I used to be the president of For 
Pete's Sake:  An Association of Peter Tork Admirers.  It was one of the 
best times of my life so far!  I miss the comraderie and friendships I made 
during that time.

I'm more than thrilled with the release of JUSTUS.  All I can say is, it's 
about time.

If anyone knows where or how I 
can get a hold of Monkees TV shows let me know. I haven't seen them since I 
was in elementary school, and then they were a staple in my life.

When I was about 8 or 9, I loved the 
Monkees. i grew out of them when New Kids on the Block came around though. 
For a while i didn't like them, or atleast I wouldn't admit that I did. But 
now I'm willing to admit that I think they are really cool. i wish I could 
have gone to the concert, but I was out of town.

Long Live The Pre-Fab Four!  Let's Get Mike to say YES to the 
tour!!!

The Monkees will live forever!!! Michael is amazing. I 
love all of his             music, everything he did on his own as well as 
what he did with the Monkees.      Michael has me completely

I would love the 
opportunity to see the Monkees in concert if they are in the Tucson or 
Phoenix area.  Does anyone know?  I saw them in concert in 1966 when I was 
9 yrs. old in New York where I was raised.  My mom helped me make posters, 
she was the coolest mom and still is.  Several yrs. back my husband was a 
truck driver and saw the Monkee's tour bus at a truck stop between Tucson 
and Phoenix.  He knocked on the door and Davy Jones answered it.  They 
chatted for a few minutes.  I was very upset with my husband when I asked 
him if Davy gave him an autographed photo and he said he never asked him!  
I didn't talk to him for several days!  Right now, I am at a low point in 
my life and receiving an e-mail wfrom any of the Monkee''s, especially Davy 
would really brighten up my life.

Our family (myself, wife, and 
9-year-old son) saw the Monkees live on Thursday, November 21, 1996 in 
Normal, Illinois.  I waited 30 years for them to come to my town; 
fortunately my son only had to wait nine years.  We would love to see them 
again the next time they play anywhere near.  It was the best time I've 
ever had at ANY concert!  Thanks for coming to my town!!!!!

My wife and I saw the Monkees 
at the Patriot Center in Virginia.  Was anyone else on this list

My first name is spelled the 
same as Micky's eldest daughter(Ami).  I have a son named Jonathon Michael.  
My wedding anniversary is one day after Davy's and Anita's.  

I Don't know what to say, well I"ve been A 
monkees fan since 1988. I think this is an awesome homepage, and the 
monkees are an awesome band. anyway, my favorite monkee is Peter Tork I 
think he is really spiffy. my favorite monkees songs are: pleasant valley 
sunday and I'm  not your steping stone. O.K. now that I've told you my

For what it's worth to all of the other loyal MONKEE fans out 
there, I just wanted to give my opinion on what my favorite episode of 
their T.V. series was and still is to this day, and that would be the 
episode that was the parody of "The Devil And Daniel Webster", 
wherein Mike has to defend Peter from the "Devil" to save his 
immortal soul.  And he accomplishes this by having Peter play his harp to 
show how much he loves the music. I just thought that episode was really 
well done, in contrast to the usual weekly slapstick.  Well, I guess that's 
my two cents worth.  Thanks!

THE 
MONKEES ARE BACK FOR AN ATTACK!!!

Just bought Justus from 
the Tower Records store in Picadilly Circus. It's great that they got it 
together again, finally. Now what they need to do is to get back over to
England and tour here, to promote Justus and to give the fans here a treat. 
How come America gets all the attention? We British fans are just as 
loyal.

a little kid, but now (I'm 14, I know that's a bit younger than some others 
who have been fans since the beginning) I have every album on vinyl, and
all their episodes on video that they have released so far.  My favorite 
Monkee is Davy Jones (like most girls) but I must say that Mike Nesmith is
the most talented, and I definitely have the most respect for him.  My 
favorite songs are : "Daydream Believer" "What Am I Doin' 
Hangin' Round?" and "St. Mattew".  Kudos to you Brad, and

I have heard some of my old pals have been looking for me, and I have lost
contact with some of them through moving, remarriage, job changes...yikes!

I would love to hear from some of the old friends I made in many travels

out there! I have tried this a few times, but it seems that I never got 
addad to your list, well here I am! I have been a Monkee fan as long as I 
can remember, I think it was 1982 or so. I love the new album that just 
came out, their music just talks to me.I love the new song "it's my 
life" It expresses my feelings so much. Its like they just know what 
to say,like in "take a giant step". I used to listen to this song 
over while it took me to another safer place. I can't wait to dedicate the 
song" sometime in the morning" to my husband (in 5-10yrs when i 
feel I am old enough to marry, not at my young age of 20!) That would be my 
ideal song. A song to show your feelings, or even the song "i'll be 
true to you", would work just as well! Well if any of you crazy Monkee 
fans would wish to write, please do! I promise to write back!!!!!!!!!

I've loved The Monkees since 1967--I 
remember Mom yelling at me to "turn down that silly TVshow"...  
I've seen them in concert  approx. 7 times, and have kissed Davy 3 times, 
always during "I Want to be Free", which I consider 
"our" song.......Other fave songs:  "She's Hangs out", 
"Little Bit Me', "Let's Dance ON"

A great big "Hi" to all 
you crazy Monkee fans.  I can't believe how many people like the Monkees as 
much as I do.  I've been a fan since the day I was born(24 years ago).  I 
love Davy - he's so dreamy.  I went to their concert this summer in Moline, 
IL.  It was a dream come true.  I only wish I could have met them.  How on 
earth do all of you get to go backstage?  Let me know your secrets on how 
to meet them.  I'm so mad that I missed them when they were in Bloomington 
last week.  I could just cry.  I would feel better if Davy would sing to 
me.  Davy -  are you there?  I know he's not around but it never hurts to 
try.  I have all the tv shows on video.  You can get them through Columbia 
House Video Club for all of you who are interested.  I just got the album 
Justus and I was kind of disappointed.  It is still good but I didn't think 
it lived up to their greatness.  Their next one will be better.  I'd better 
get off so others can talk.

When my mom was pregnant with me, she would play one of their LP's to get 
me to stop kicking her!! :) I was born to be a fan! I Love the guys sooo

I got to see the 
Monkees at Six Flags over Texas on the 4th of July and couldn't believe my 
eyes!!!!  They look better now, than before!!! (especially Micky)  They put 
on a fantastic show.  And when Micky sang "I'm a believer", I 
about went nuts!!!!

I cannot get my post posted on the alt. music monkees---the 
guys will NOT be doing New Years Eve with Leno---they will have an ABC 
Special in the spring and will perform as a foursome

I have been a fan of the guys since 
I saw my first episode--The Devil and Peter Tork--  and that was in 1977. 
But I really became a huge fan in 1986 when they were on MTV. I remember 
staying up for the last MTV Monkees Marathon, all 22 1/2 hours of it. The 
the following week, I saw them in conert. November 1, 1986 will be a day I 
will remember for the rest of my life. Along with July 4, 1996 when I saw 
them here in Dallas at Six Flags.  In the past ten years, a lot has changed 
in my life, but there was always one thing I could count on--I could put on 
any of the albums and escape with my friends, Micky, Davy, Peter and Mike. 
I have collected everything my budget has allowed, which probably isn't 
much compared to some of you!  

I'd like to hear from some of you. It'll be nice to talk to someone who 
doesn't look at me like I'm crazy for thoroughly enjoying the Monkees. I 
don't know about ya'll, but I get a little tired of having to explain that 
these guys are a heck of a lot more than the sixties version of Milli 
Vanilli.  I look forward to hearing from ya.....

I love the Monkees and have 
ever since I was about 9 or 10. I was so happy to find this great Monkee 
home page. It's funny because now my three daugh- ters love the Monkees 
too. I'm a faithfull fan of the Monkees and I am very happy to know that 
there are so many other Monkee fans out there as well!

I'm a 16 year old who has 
always loved the Monkees. Esspecially Davy jones. He is awesome! I saw them 
in Kansas City last summer, and it was a totally cool experience.

I just got the internet a few days ago.  I 
really love the Monkees.  I'm fifteen, and I saw them in concert on the 
fourth of July.  I had a third row seat!!  I also touched Micky Dolenz when 
he walked down the aisle next to me (sounds kinda funny, huh?) and that 
concert was great.  I used to watch the show when I was little and it was 
their second rise to fame.  I love Davy Jones, and Mike Nesmith.  My mom 
met Mike!!   She used to live in San Antonio, and he was there for 
something, and she met him!  I have all their albums, and I also have 17 of 
their bubblegum cards from when my mom was little.  My favorite song is 
Daydream Believer, but I also love Daily Nightly, St. Matthew, What Am I 
Doing Hangin' Round, and Star Collector.  My favorite album is Pisces, 
Aquarius, etc...  That album is a superb sample of sixties ear candy..  
That also is cool because it shows a lot of talent that Mike had that no 
one had ever acknowledged.  The Monkees are such an awesome band, and they 
deserve so much more respect than they get.  It's not fair how they fought 
so hard and so long to play their own instruments, and then no one would 
even acknowledge them as a band.  I think Mike is a genius, and Davy is so 
cute.  Even now!! He's such an adorable man!!  I really like the sixties, 
and my other favorite bands are : the Beatles, the Doors, the Dave Clark 
Five, and the Partridge Family ( David Cassidy).  I think that  was such an 
incredible period in time.  I only wish that I had been around when the 
Monkees were popular the first time around.. Then their memorabilia 
wouldn't be so darn expensive.  I only get about ten dollars a week, so I 
have to save up to buy anything.  There's only one cool store around here, 
and it's called Pepperland.  They guy that owns it is really awesome.  He 
has a Monkeemoblie toy, a puzzle of the Monkees, and about ten magazines 
from the sixties that featured the Monkees.  Okay, I know I'm getting off 
track, so I'll close by saying, I LOVE THE MONKEES!  More power to anyone
with enough courage to be a Monkees fan and withstand all the "Beatles 
rip-off" crap.  Anyway, thanks for a totally groovy page!

here.  Yes that's right, as of today, there are exactly 31 days until Davy 
and Mike celebrate their birthdays (in celebration, we must all watch

I think my brother must be more of a 
Monkees fan than I am...this is the second URL he's sent me having to do 
with the guys!  (The first one was the Rhino records home page.)  I have 
all the original vinyl albums as well as a couple of 45's.  My favorite 
episode was also the Monkees v. Machine (my kids walk around saying, 
"Correction - name is not Not-what but Nit-wit.") My favorite 
songs are Shades of Grey and Papa Gene's Blues.  I've never met any of the 
Monkees but my younger son's name is David Jones!  No one believes me when 
I say it was completely unintentional - David just happens to be my 
favorite boys' name and I just happened to marry a man whose last name is 
Jones.  If anyone knows when the shows are going to be on TV again, I sure 
would like to have my VCR at the ready.  My single-mom budget doesn't allow 
membership in those video clubs or the purchase of new music, so I just 
have to imagine what Justus sounds like - thanks for the reviews {:-)

I still remember how The 
Monkees made my seven year old heart skip a beat. My sister and I would 
fight constantly over who was the cutest. Mike has always been my favorite. 
I had an opportunity to see him in Atlanta a couple of years ago but I got 
sick and couldn't go. I hope they come to Atlanta when they tour.

I remember the television program and music 
from when very young and lived in Nashville, TN while father faught in the 
Vietnam war. I escape from my responsibilities now as an adult occasionally 
by listening to your Greatest Hits as I drive my sports car, bicycle on my 
12-speed, run 5+ miles.  I enjoyed your concert in Nashville several years

JUSTUS rules!!

 I am the Editor 
of Pontiac Enthusiast Magazine and I wanted to let you Monkees fans out 
there that I am writing a story on the Monkeemobile for our next issue. As 
you probably already know, there were two cars built out of 1966 Pontiac 
GTO convertibles. One is owned by auto customizer George Barris in 
California and one is owned by a gentleman in New Jersey. This car just 
returned from several years in Puerto Rico and is in beautiful condition. 

I have already spoken to people at Pontiac and have copies of the car's 
original invoice. There are still a lot of Monkees fans there (they're a 
pretty cool bunch). I have also spoken with the former promotions director 
from Pontiac's advertising agency, as he is a columnist for our magazine 
now. He had a lot of inside information  on how the cars came to be and 
also how they developed the successful Kellogg's Rice Krispies sweepstakes 
promotion (any of you still have your Monkees records from the back of the 
cereal boxes?)

I'll keep you folks posted on how everything goes. This story will be out 
around Christmas and if any of you would like more information, please feel

I love my VCR, 
the best way to enjoy the Monkee's is the show (although the CD's are 
great), and with my VCR I can watch whenever.  (If I had this power when I 
was young I would never have gotten my homework done!!).

Davy Jones was one of the cutest guys I've ever seen!  Too bad 
I wasn't born yet when the group came out; I would of died if I saw him in 
person! I'm only 18, but I love the Monkees.  They had great songs - 
Daydream Believer and Star Collector were some of my favorites, and they're 
shows were great too - I collected 6 of their videotapes so far, and 
they're fabulous.  Davy was just so adorable that I couldn't stop watching 
them until 2:00 in the morning!  Anyway, the Monkees rule!!

Kiaora. The Beatles, The Monkees, The Banana Splits, other 
bands in various guises have copied and parodied the lads from Liverpool on 
shows such as: Get Smart, Bewitched! and other 60's Sicoms I can't bloody 
remember right now. Then there was the Rutles. (Monty Python team I think).

are really say that they were great!!!  I have been a fan since I was in my 
teens and am glad to be able to see a real concert for a change!!  I would

Hey Hey Monkee Fans! Just wanted to let you all know I perform in a 
theatre group with a man named Bill Fernandez.  He used to drum for the
Dolenz, Jones, Boyce and Hart tour.  He's told some great stories about 
Mickey and Davy.  To bad he never met Mike.  He's still the best
Monkee!

great  page!  where  did  you  find  that  rendition of  the  theam 
song?  It's  great!  I'm  a  DJ  for  a  college  radio station,  and  
recentaly  found and  picked  up  JUSTUS,  I  intend  to  open  it  up  and  
play  it  for  the  first  time  on the  air  tonight  so  all  those  
listening  can  enjoy  it's  primere. I  found  it after  attending  their  
saturdaynight  concert  at the  Tropicanna  on the  29th  in Vegas.  the  
show  was  expencive(especialy  compaired  to  the  one  I  saw  in  
Saltlake  about  10  years  ago...about$15vs.$45),  but  worth  it.  I  
only  regret  the  suroundings  wern't  more  condutive  to  the  party  
experiance  that  a  concert  should  be  to  the  fans.

     The  monkees  clean  happy  music  is  such  a  refereshing  change  
from  the  dark  gritty  garbage  that  tends  to  be  popular  today,  and  
am  looking  foward  to  the  next  album.  

Love the group, but I am upset about 
something said in last week's Entertainment Weekly about the group.  From 
what I have seen in past issues EW doesn't really care for the Monkees,and 
in last weeks issue they made a crack about now that the group is back 
maybe they can get the people who USED to play their instruments back

It's great to have the Monkees 
back and it is due time for them to receive Justice with Justus.  I have 
been a big fan all of my life and as we are both celebrating 30 years, I 
wish you the best.  I had a dream come true in meeting all four Monkees,

I went to see the 
Monkees twice, in '87 and '96. The first time I got two inches away from 
Davy while sitting on my father's shoulders. I begged him to drop me but he 
wouldn't. Oh, well maybe next time!

Monkees fans!!!!  This is my first time being in here. I feel like I stick 
out. Well I'm only 14 years old. But I feel so happy that I can to talk 
about the Monkees. I loved them ever since I was in 1st grade. When they

fans!!!! I love the Monkees especially MIKE!!!!! By the Way, I'm 14 years 
old. I have almost all of their albums, episodes, and I also have Micky's 
book I'm a Believer. I love that book. GREAT JOB MICKY!!!! I love all of 
their songs espcially Mike songs. I didn't go to any concert so i didn't 
get to see or touch any of them. I love all of the episods. I know all the 
lines by heart. My parents and some of my friends are sick and tired of 
listening to me talking about them. I used to watch so tapes I have of them

    This is my own personal message 
to all the negative JUSTUS reviews in relation to what Mike said about 
them. I am glad that JUSTUS was not an attempt to make Monkees music like 
in the 60s. To those that were expecting to relive old Monkee memories 
through new Monkees Music, I am sorry, but The Monkees are not still living 
in the past. This is an album of Monkees songs all written, produced, and 
played by only them. The fact that they did not try a LAST TRAIN TO 
CLARKSVILLE PT. 2 is a relief. No matter how "New Age" their new 
stuff sounds, it is still The Monkees and I like it. I accept it as part of 
the whole Monkees experience. Any true Monkee fan would. I love all of 
their music and their tv show.

I'm only 16 but I've been a Monkees fan since I was 6.  I used to watch all 
the reruns on TV every day.  I also had my dad's records and tapes and my 
best friend and I played them all the time.  In August we saw them in 
concert as part of their 30 year reunion tour and it was awesome!

   I have seen 
on television where fans cry and pass out when they saw Elvis live in 
concert or even Michael Jackson back when he was popular for his music and 
not his hobbies. I thought they just wanted to be seen on camera so they 
would pass out to get attention. I would like to say that when I was at the 
Monkees concert in July 1996, I too cried and passed out when they first 
came on stage! I got two of their albums for my third birthday and I have 
loved them ever since. I am almost nineteen. I guess when you love 
something for that amount of time and then finally get to see it (or 
them)face to face, it is incredibly emotional! Because I have only had one 
chance to see them live I can only pray to be lucky enough to have them 
come back to the Dayton area of Ohio (or Columbus or Cincinnatti) so I can 
see them again. PLEASE KEEP SINGING

Been a fan since 
1966. Would like to know why Monkees stopped using Grtech Guitars? I am a 
professional musician who misses when music was fun and not subject to 
censorship due to lyric content. The Monkees were one of the last groups of 
an era that shall sadly never pass this way again.

have been to 2 monkees concerts within the past year and they were 
excellent even though it was basically the same thing twice. i dont think i 
would mind seeing the same show 57 times in a row. i dont care if uncle
mickey is 80 years old or if the women in the crowds throw depends at the 
stage instead of underwear i just want to see peter again!(by the way does 
anyone know where i can buy peters "stranger things have 
happened"?) i hope they come to milwaukee again to tour with songs 
from "justus" and bring mike (i was quite upset that he was not 
there for the last concerts) A True Fan, cricket(my nickname (i dont know 
why))

Really, can anyone tell me why the 
Monkees stopped using gretch guitars. They inspired me to buy my first 
gretch C.G., a 1964 model. Infact, if it wasn't for the fact that my 
ex-wifes  lawyer has it now I still would. Brad, if you do hear from them
this old musician would sure appreciate an autograpf picture. I still 
write, record and publish, and even though I have oopened shows for 
everyone from Conway Twitty to Kathy Mattea, I would have loved to at least 
set up equipment for my all time favorite group "the Monkees" 
would enjoy e-mail from other 35-45 year old fans.

haven't been to this web in awhile though I had it bookmarked. I decided to 
drop in to see the comments on the new album. I was stunned to see the 
photos] of the "pre-Fab Four" playing live again. When I say 
stunned I mean in reference to Mike finally joining the band again despite 
his earlier denials of participating due to some project that was 
preoccupying him. I sure would of like to seen it and yes if they come 
around to S.F. I will fork over the dollars to be entertained by them. It 
has to be all four or it's not the Monkees. The photos do bring quite a 
smile to one's face and bit of excitement.

Whooooie!!! Tie my face to the side of a hog and 
roll me in the mud.  It's the Monkees I'm a forty nine year old kid that 
grew up on the Monkees.  I just loved them. So did my girl friend in my 
younger days.  After watching the Monkees she made me pertend to be each 
one of them as bowonked. Whooooiee!! Thats all I got to say.  What else has 
to be said?  Huh??  I ask you??

Monkees fan!  Isn't the internet great for reuniting all of us?  I love the 
JUSTUS CD and listen to it constantly.  My husband keeps saying, "When 
are you gonna get tired of listening to that?"  What kind of question 
is that for a true Monkees fan?!

I wonder if all the girls who dreamed of marrying Davy got their wish, then 
how many wives would he have now???  My favorite was always Peter; he 
didn't seem to get the spotlight as often as the rest.

the most beautiful voice and has been, in my opinion one of the most 
gorgeous guys on Earth.  MICKY DOLENZ, I always have and always will LOVE

The Monkees are like the greatest !!!!! David is always the most 
adorable. Peter is really the smartest. Micky is still a fabulous lead 
singer. Mike well, the group seems to be doing just fine without his input 
on the ma of there tour. You guys will always be the most fab of any

funny story... Before the show the hotel sold Roses.  I bought one hoping 
to give it to my favorite Monkee, Davy.  He came right to my table and sang 
with my party.  I was in such awe that I totally forgot to give him my 
flower.  I just start at him.  OOPS!  After the show was over I went to get 
his autograph and I short of argrued with him on where to sign my card.  I 
got it though.  And I gave him my flower. Davy is so dreamy and he is 32 
years older than I am.

Davy Jones is the most far-out, groovy guy in the whole world.

Hi, all you Monkee fans out there! I had no idea there were so many of us
until I got the internet. I used to feel ashamed, but now I realize I can be
proud of my infatuation with that lovable quartet. My favorite, of course, has
always been Micky, that cute fuzzy-wuzzy! I've never seen anyone be so 
adorable at being annoying! I love it! But I also love the other guys, too.
I love when Peter jumps up and down, when Davy makes funny faces when he's

because I had been hit by a car.  I cried for weeks.  Now I have shared your music

Hi. I love the Monkees.  I went to the concert on November 23, 1996 at The Eagles Auditorium in Milwaukee.  It was great.  I wish we would have brought an extra roll of film for the camera because somebody forgot to take out the old roll of film.  This really got me mad.  I wanted to remember everything.  I'm sad.  The best memory of my teenage years and now when I'm old and gray I can't look back to the good old days.  I hope I go to another concert in a few months or a year or so. Greetings, fellow Texas prairie chicken savers!  I remember the Monkees
during their first go-round in the 60's, and I never missed their show.
(They were on Mondays at 6:30, right after "Get Smart."  Scary that I 
remember that...)  Didn't get to see them live until their 25th reunion
tour in Dallas.  Just got Justus, but haven't had a chance to hear it yet.
The CD player in my car died!  I'm delighted to see that there are more 
Monkees fans than just myself and a handful of my friends!  (I have a 6
year old daughter that wants to marry Mike when she grows up.  I told her
she'll have to wait her turn!  I'm first!)

I really enjoyed finding out about the Monkees homepage. Finally there is something 
interesting on the net.

The best thing about the monkees is that behave and sing as if they were young boys on their first vacation outside the parental protection.\
In this way they cheer up the old and the not so old but already sophisticated ones.
So my message is: be happy and a true believer of the ever young.
 

The Monkees have been my favorite band, since the day I bought "That was Then, This is Now" back in June of 1986. May they live forever in the medium known as Rock and Roll.

  If it weren't for the song "The Door Into Summer",I wouldn't have ever read the

  hello and a happy New Year to all us monkee fans! Santa brought me a lot of Monkee
CDs to replace a lot of my aging LPs (yea!). I would like to hear the guys do "Riu 
Chiu" from the Missing Links series ( number three I think )in concert. I just love
tha harmonies there! I still regard the Aug '96 concert in Fairfax Va the highlight of
my year (i'm in love again), even though I just saw Jerry Lewis in "Damn Yankees" at
the Kennedy Center in D.C. and it was pretty close! Now that guy can still ham it up
at age 69; imagine what our favorite quartet could do in 20 or so years! (sorry Micky!)
At the Patriot Center in August Micky said a 50 year reunion would not be a pretty
picture ... You never know!!!! Have a happy, anyway!!!!

It's me again, I forgot to write about how I became a Monkees fan.  When I was a little girl my mom had a record player and one of HER favorite records to play was the Monkees (More of the Monkees)
and she said that I danced and danced.  I just loved all of them and especially Davy and Peter. Mom still has the record out to play on her "system" of a record player.  When I was little my mom said
that I word kiss each of the Monkees mouths like  was kissed them and then even colored in the lips with red pen!!! Crazy huh?!  Last year I went out looking for that record in CD form t play in my car
and at my house.  My mom thinks I'm crazy but listening to it also brings back memories of my childhood.  I will always be a Monkees fan.  When I get paid next I'm going out to buy some more to add
to my colection.  And the concert I saw in Arlington was awesome too!  Ya'll rule!:)

Have been an avid Monkees fan for 30 years (since I was 8).  Love all four Monkees, but Davy is my absolute favorite.  Will always love my Monkees forever.

  I used to watch the tv show when I was a kid, and I was in love with Davey Jones, just like everyone else.  I enjoyed watching them be goofballs, and the music they played.

not being a fan of the real time monkees due to my age, you quickly became part of my mind, heart, and sole. growing up without a male role model at home, the        monkees helped develope a true original me. each of you give me a peice of your    acting image which through the years have help me handle life at its worst.        still today, even before seeing your home page for the first time, i still sing    the monkees music and play it when ever possible. thanks for being (four) again.

Hi there! I've been a fan since 1991, watching the show on Muchmusic(Canada's version of
of MTV) Speaking of which any other Canucks out there? Also does any one out there know were i can buy
where i can find the Monkees CD-ROM??? or any Monkee Books?? No Music or Computer stores
carry the CD-ROM as far as i know & all the Bookstores i go to have no Monkee
books(except the most recent ones) and say tat all of the books ave been out of print for years...HELP!! 

I got a Monkees tape for Christmas.  I want to see the Monkees in concert when they come to Washington.  Emily Age 7.

the show every day after school. When we filled out a "What do you want to
be when you grow up?" paper in the second grade, I wrote, "I want to be the
first girl Monkee and marry Davy Jones!" My teacher then informed me that
the shows I had been watching were re-runs, that Davy was old enough to

I finally got to see my guys perform this year -- once in Texas, and again in Indiana (one time was definitely not enough!). The show was incredible both times. It was a dream come true just to see them in person, still looking and sounding great and having a ball together. It warmed my heart to see that they have such an obvious love for each other and their music. They've certainly brought something special into my life for the past 29 1/2 years! Love "Justus," and hope they'll tour again in '97!

Hi all you monkee fans!  I'm glad to see that so many people love the Monkees as much as i do.
I mean really, has there ever been a greater band?  I think not.  Anyhow, I'm only 13 years old 
and I've been a Monkee fan all my life.  I'm proud to say that i attended their reunion concert 
in 1987, even though i was only about five. I have also read Mickey's autobiography 
(My Life of Monkees, Music, and Madness) I do believe it is called.  If you have any information
about upcoming tours or books or anything having to do with important Monkee business, please let
 me know.  I'm sad to say, New Orleans was skipped over in their 1996 tour.  One more thing before
I part:  Mike, please come back for good!   I LOVE you guys!

Hello Monkee people.  It sure is good to be back on The Monkee Webpage.  I saw Davy, Peter and Micky live in Toronto last year.  They are extraordinary performers, but you Monkee fans already know that.  I think Rhino records is doing a wonderful job with The Monkee albums and videos.  Some critics claim that the Monkees are getting more attention than they deserve.  I love all their songs and I think they deserve more recognition.  I’ve never been bothered by the fact that The Monkees did not play their instruments on their early recordings.  They were hired as actors for a TV show.  It is remarkable that they also succeeded as a genuine rock group.

Great web site!  Always enjoy seeing new stuff about the guys!

Saw the concert in Normal, IL 11/21.  Great to see all fans
of all ages rarely sit down--never standing still. The threesome

Too young to catch the band the first go round (just turned 30) but I
remember watching the TV show in syndication with my cousin who just
recently passed away.  Shortly after his passing, bought the video box
set from Rhino and rewatching all the episodes brought back a flood of
great memories of him and I rushing home from school in just enough time
to turn on the show.  Thanks guys for some great times!  Also, JUSTUS is
truly a great album.  The friendship shines, and thanks Papa Nez for
coming back this time, you were always my favorite Monkee.  (The rest
of you guys are good too!)  Fans can also feel free to e-mail me with
Monkee stories, etc. Always glad to hear from other Monkeemaniacs!

Well, I'm 17, and ever since Muchmusic (MTV - Canadian style) had aired their old show, 
 I've thought they were awesome. The show was so crazy, that you can't help but laugh .  My dream is to go back in time and
 become the 6th and  female Monkee. Monkees forever!!! yay!

Been a huge fan since 1968 - I was 2 & could sing the theme.  Mickey Dolenz signed my bra in 1985 - saw the Greek theatre concert when Mike made a suprise visit in 1986.  Am the definitive fan.

There obviously are still a few of us out there! Can't wait for the UK to get the new album (we're still waiting!!)

I am so, so, so depressed.  I can't believe some of you people have actually 
touched a Monkee, let alone kissed one!!!!!!!!!!! I am so, so, so, jeleous.
I have absolutely nothing apart from a couple of records and the series has finished
here (just at the time when I started liking them too).  I love all their songs (that I have heard)

I am 15 years old (that's right) and madly, and I mean madly in love with the Monkees.
My discovery occoured when the programme commenced in New Zealand in late october.  I have only
been a fan for a matter of nearly four months now.  I actually hated them at first, 
just thinking that they were only a group of young actors trying to make a bit of
money while working in a stupid sit-comy thing.  But then I saw Davy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my god what legond!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His eyes, his voice, his accent, his hair, his smile, his nose, his teeth, his size,
his butt................ A god if ever there was one.  I immediately fell in love
with the group and begun learning all the songs off by heart that I could obtain.  Lucky I had a few friends 
that enjoyed them too.  I also began devising what ever would happen if a time machine
was constructed.  My plan was to be the volunteer and go back to the sixties, find Jonesy Boy
(this would be before he became famous)try and seduce him, marry him and bring him back to the 
future.  But I suppose this would've dramatically altered the fate of the Monkees.  Oh well
so long as I get my Jonsey.

God I wish i was alive in the sixties.

Me and my friend have even thought out what we are going to wear to a concert if the 
guys ever tour New Zealand.  I would combine Retro with futuristic and have a pair of flares
made out of P.V.C (silver), a small black top with the logo printed on the front
some platforms painted silver, some silver wrap round shades and our hair would be 
sprayed with this hair colour you can buy.  It will be pink in one section, blue in another, yellow 
in another and purple in another.  We would also be wearing our Mike's hats that
are being made at the very moment I write.

But N.Z is such a isolated country hardly anyone even knows about us let alone
even consider visiting us.  Miricles do happen though.  They never visited us in their
hey day (so far as I'm concerened their hey day hasn't ended yet)so 
I hope my dream comes true.

by the way if anyone of any age just wants to chat on the guys e-mail me!! It 
would be cool to chat to the other side of the world for a change.  And if you had 
any personal encounters with them could you write too and tell me all the 
heart grabbing deatils.

I was born and raised with Davy being the coolest and the cutest.
I am a crazy fan for them and I am often ridiculed for the pictures and my 
movies I have of them.  

After all these years, these guys are still great musicians and entertainers.

Daydream Believer was a song that was written for me (not literally, but
figuratively):
My name is Jeanne, I was a homecoming queen, nothing could have
EVER mattered in my then "perfect" life ("oh what could it mean?"), I am
an eternal "daydream believer" (even to this day) & God knows I am in
serious need of "cheering up" here in the present!
When this song first came out, I was a seriously popular freshman at
Ohio State University - I thought the "daydream" would never end.
But it did...

My Monkees tale may be lame, but here we go..
When I was young, and I mean young (seven or eight) my friend and eye somehow got turned on to the show. This wasn't too long ago, 1988 or 1989,  I think. Well, we would watch it religiously every day, I think it was on Nickelodeon or something. She loved Mike and I loved Davy, and then Peter, and than Mickey. Our love wasn't that strong, I suppose, considering we were only eight. On my eighth birthday I got this tacky booklet in which I was supposed to keep a list of all my faves, like television show, musical group, album, and such. Of course, all my answers in some way involved the Monkees. When the band was in town this past summer they held an autograph session at a local record store. I dragged my best friend and brother down so they I could get them to sign my old birthday booklet. I felt like I was eight years old again. I was so excited even though I'm no longer a fan. Well, I was truly disappointed. We were rushed right through the record store and I hardly even saw them (though they did sign my book. I went home a felt unfullfuilled with my encounter.. I didn't have the cash to go to the concert so I went home, where I recieved a phone call from a friend who works at a local store who said that there were five tickets to the show at the store and I could have them! YAY! I went to the show and my brother and I gave my best friend the shock of her life when we sang along with almost every song. It was fun, not like most concerts I see... It was the first concert I'd been to in a long time where people were actually sitting down. :) That's my lame-o story :)

of unshaven hippies that probably relied on sex and drugs to keep them going 
through the day!!!!!!!!  The Monkees were respectful enough to keep away from this
era (so I believe) and come off just a successful as the Beatles ever did.  And 
is any of the Beatle Boys cute???????????????????????  I don't think so.  The 
monkees also still indulge their crowd with their singing and preform concerts with 
new records, books and other stuff being released.  What have the Beatles done?

Just saw the guys last night in West Palm Beach. Cool night in South Florida 
and the band must have had a hard time playing. But it was great to see and hear them.
They played for just over 90 minutes, old and new stuff, and had the crowd singing and dancing
along. I've been waiting to see them for (geez) thirty years now. The music still
works! I'm glad I went; if you get a chance, go!

Would love to see The Monkees perform in my hometown of Cohasset,
Massachusetts, again, this time with all the members!  1992 I saw
Mike Nesmith at the Nightstage in Cambridge, Mass. and thoroughly
enjoyed his personal contribution to music.  Have been a fan since
I was two......Now my daughter is four and absolutely head-over-heals
in love with Davy Jones!  Its a generational thing, I guess.........

Enjoyed the visit... very nice to see the guys again.

Davy Jones and Peter Noone will be performing at Boulder Station in Vegas onn SAt. Feb. 15.  2 shows, 7pm and 9pm.  Tickets are available thru ticketmaster, and are $36.45.

Hi, I'm a big Monkees fan.  I wish Davy Jones had done more songs like "Valleri" rather than most of the crooning style of songs he did. 
I think Mike Nesmith is one of  the best song writers ever.  I also really like Peter Torks song "Ladys Baby". Mikeys singing in "As  we go along " is great.
I am 22 years old, I find bands like The Beatles, The Monkees, The Beach Boys, The Rolling Stones etc far more interesting than most of the dross that
is being made today, as these bands including The Monkees who were of course manufactured were experimenting  with many different instruments to
make new and different sounds.  Their songs still sound as fresh as when they were first recorded.  Although I think there are quite alot of British bands who are
developing some of these  techniques today e.g. The Boo Radleys, The Super Furry Animals, Kula Shaker etc. Oh well I'd better sign off before I send you 
all to sleep, bye.

I heard These Guys are touring in the UK. Any plans for American Dates? West Coast? There

I love the Monkees!

The Monkee TV show was one of my favorite shows when I was a little kid.  
My brother and I use to watch it religously on my parent's TV before we went
to bed.  I can remember singing the songs and doing the "Monkee walk"  with 
all my friends.  It was great memory of my childhood.

I saw the MONKEES coencert Bloomington ILL. Everbody Iwent with  really enjoyed it.

the monkees are so groovy! i got a chance to meet them last summer and
i must say that peter tork is THE MAN! i've seen them in concert twice
now and look forward to seeing them again!

Thank you Monkees for your unselfishness; getting back together is a real showing of  love for us all. We've all got to spread the word that The Monkees are better than ever, are still producing meaningful music, are a legitimate musical rock group, and have more talent combined than any other act around. Let's hope an upcoming TV special continues this amazing, successful comeback and showcases their many abilities and talents (and provides them with a new hit song to spread the word!).

I taped the Disney Monkee Special. I found it to be quite informative. I
saw some commercials I have not seen before and I saw JUSTUS recording 
film footage. The interviews were great and I got the genuine feeling of
friendship from all four guys. I was impressed. I cannot wait until the 
special on ABC. Does anybody know anything more definite than February?

Just finished watching the special on the Disney Channel.  A great show but I think the boys need to completely forget that old controversial stuff about them playing their own instruments.  I had forgotten all about that until it was brought up.  All I remember is the wonderful, fun music and four deliciously adorable guys.  Thanks for all the great memories and I am looking forward to some new music!

First of all,I love all the monkees.I went to their 30th anniversary tour

and ages represented in the audience.  This show was better than the 20th anniversary tour
which I saw in Austin, TX.  Their music itself is fantastic and I'm glad to see that they're
writing and producing together again.  Looking forward to more great sounds!

Hi, I've been a Monkees fan since I was 12.  A long time ago.  I loved the show and all of the music.  I have the new CD, but most of 
my Monkees music is on LP's.  I know, I'm ancient, but I just can't seem to let go
of my albums.  

Glad you are coming back.  Need to stop in Oklahoma City, OK on USA
tour.  Want to see re-runs of TV shows on "Nick at Nite" cable.  Or on

I didn't have the Disney Channel until last night.  Had to get it to see
the special on the Monkees.  I have been a devoted fan since 1966, and I 
am so glad that they are still around making music and making more
memories for me.  The special on them was really great.  I'm glad that I
recorded it.  I now have all the original shows and the special on tape
to show my kids when they are older.    Thanks David, Mickey, Peter and 
Mike for continuing to keep yourselves in the public eye.  I've enjoyed
every minute!!!

I have been a Monkees fan ever since I can remember...I think I have seen 
every episode at least twice--however, that was in reruns, because I wasn't
born until their second season.
Even as a small girl, I had a crush on Davy (and I still do today).

I have loved the Monkees ever since I first saw them on syndication in 1985.
A couple of years after that they had their twenty-year reunion, and I got
to see more current photos of them.  Now, more than ten years later, I am
still a tried and true Monkeemaniac, but I have yet to see them in concert.
I hope they make a detour to the U.S. on their upcoming tour, somewhere
in Texas perhaps.  Maybe in Laredo?  Okay, that may be pushing it.  Still,
it would be a dream come true for me.  I've even recruited a few friends,
who are now also Monkee fans.  I'll keep my fingers crossed.  Wish me luck.

  Am an orginal fan of the MONKEES.. watching them when I was 10/11 yrs old on the tv! Even when others in school liked other groups. I told all that I still enjoyed the Monkees, themselves and the Music!!>
My sister and I have have split the collection of records we had. But she has most of the Specialy items, marketed during their TV show.  I have enjoyed hearing/seeing David and Micky performing at different venues.
We both went to the kick off concert(20 yrs 1986) in Atlantic city. 
and just the other day I got to see the 30th world tour which was excellent show in clearwater florida. They gave their all and then more!!.

I am only 14, but I grew up on the Monkees for ten years. They're absolutely the best band in the
world.  I love them, and when they came to Nautica Entertainment Complex, I was ready with a bright green sign that had silver letters and glow-in-the dark stars. 
I bought the tickets and my father took me to the concert.  He hadn't really liked the Monkees when they first came out, but was very impressed with the concert(they knew how to be funny unlike many bands
these days).  I was in the fifth row, near where Micky stood most of the time.

Even though I wasn't around during the original airing of the show, 
I was able to watch the reruns as a child.  I loved the show then, and I 
still love it.  I grew up listening to the music while helping my mom 
in the kitchen or cleaning up the house.  

They were definatly apart of my childhood.  Just like the Brady Bunch.  I love the 
episode with Davey Jones.

Back in 1966 when I was in the 6th grade I was one of a handful of people at The Hotel Del Coronado who witnessed the birth of The Monkees. They were there shooting the pilot I believe and I stole Peter Tork's guitar pick,which I still have.Maybe I'll have a chance to give it back to him someday.(the guilt has been almost unbearable,ha!)I only wish I had thought to go home and get a camera!It was a wonderful two days of unlimited access to 4 great guys.Who knew then that they would be so famous!April Chiesman

When I was nine years old in 1990, my uncle taped an episode of The
Monkees off MuchMusic for my mom to get a kick out of. I watched it
once and I haven't been able to stop since! I had my uncle tape almost
every single episode off t.v., I bought four albums, and even ordered
back issues of a magazine to get pictures. To this day, I am still in
love with the Monkees. Now,the porpoise is laughing,goodbye,goodbye...

I love the Monkees.  I have been a fan for over 10 years and I am
thrilled that they are making a comeback.  I saw them in Normal,
Illinois (with Helen Crabtree).  They were GREAT and yes, she did
grope him but it was an accident.  We were standing outside by the
tour bus and he started shaking hands.  Everyone started to lean in
and Peter got a little surprise. OOPS!!  Anyway, keep the music coming!

I wish I was old enough to be around when the Monkees were young.  I love 
listening to them.  I also love hearing stories from my friends parents
about how they went to their concerts. I luv the Monkees!

In 1969, when I was 13 years old, I was madly in love with Michael Nesmith
(and his voice).I still have all the old LPs which are too scratchy to play
but still fun to look at. Most of them have "Charm loves Michael" written
all over them. I've replaced some of them with CDs of the same recordings
and play them regularly.The Monkees still RULE !!!!!!!

1. When you go to restaurants do you have a lot of people coming up to you and asking you for an autograph?

definitely visit the individual home pages to see each one of their pictures
signed with an aughtograph. And for the more experienced Monkee fans, you 
should visit the trivia quiz, it really is quite complicated, but cool !!

i was 13 when i went to my first monkees concert at the hollywood bowl. Since then
i have seen them a number of times.  i met them twice, once at a concert in 86 and
once at a signing at tower records in torrance, ca.  My daughter ,jennifer and myself
went to see them and Micky was very rude to my daughter when she handed him a stuffed
baby monkey-she cried. BUT ANYWAY i have enjoyed them for many years maybe Micky had
bad day but he owes jennifer an apology even if it's 11 years ago!!

Considering that I'm only 17, and I'm a huge Monkees fan, a lot of my 
friends tell me that I'm living in the wrong generation.  I went to the 
Monkees concert when they came to Tulsa and I had a blast.  Does anyone know
whats up between David and Peter?  They seem to not like each other.  Peter
is my favorie Monkee, because I love how spunky he is in the show.  Well

shelf and insisted on listening to it.  It soon got a new home between Mr. Rogers and
Sesame Street Fever!  I was ecstatic to discover the zany TV show on Nickelodeon 
the next year.  I still remember my mom saying to me "Look, that's what Davy Jones 
lookes like NOW."  It was the shock of my young life to realize that other people 
besides my parents grew up!  In case any of them read this, you guys ROCK! I LUV YA!!

I just got the Dolenz, Jones, Boyce and Hart CONCERT IN JAPAN CD. It is 
really great. They feature Boyce and Hart hits and Monkees hits plus a 
Dolenz/Jones song called SAVIN' MY LOVE FOR YOU. There are 13 songs in 
all. Now it is get up on my soapbox time:VH1 has not responded to my 
e-mails regarding more Monkee videos and a message board for their online
channel. Let VH1 know how you feel and that you want MORE OF THE MONKEES.
They let The Beatles in and I think it is only fair that The Monkees get 
a space on VH1. Let me know what you think! Viva Monkees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
